Perfect for Your Garden (Covers up to 12 square feet) Outdoor Growing Directions: 1. Pick a shady location. 2. Break apart the grain spawn inside the bag. 3. Add a layer of mulch or straw to the area where you want to grow, then water well. 4. Sprinkle the grain spawn on top, and cover with another layer of mulch or straw. 5. Water again to keep the spawn hydrated. Grow in a Bucket or Laundry Basket: 1. Drill holes into your bucket (hole size around a dime to a quarter). 2. Sterilize your straw or wood pellets by soaking them in boiling water for 30 minutes. Strain to avoid excess moisture. 3. Layer the substrate like a lasagna: start with a layer of straw, followed by the grain spawn, and repeat until the bucket is full. Indoor Growing (Using a Mushroom Grow Bag): 1. Prepare or buy a bag of hardwood substrate. 2. Break apart the grain spawn and add it to the substrate. 3. Seal the bag and shake everything together until fully mixed. Shelf Life: 6 months to a year. Refrigerate until ready to use.
